Dr. James Licandro is a podiatrist located in Bettendorf and is certified in wound care by the American Academy of Wound Management. Dr. Licandro received extensive wound care training while doing a two-year residency program in Chicago, IL. Wound care has come to the forefront as a field necessary to assure quality care in the treatment of wounds. With the increase in diabetes in the United States, diabetic foot care and wound care has become an invaluable field in terms of proper treatment protocol. Dr. Licandro is only the second physician to be certified by the wound care board in the entire Quad City area. His Bettendorf practice, Area Wide Foot and Ankle Center, is comprised of a high percentage of patients diagnosed with diabetes.
